Purl Washcloth for Beginning Knitters

Double Seed Stitch (also known as Double Moss Stitch) Washcloth Pattern

What you will need:
55 grams 4 ply cotton yarn, I used Peaches & Crème
Size 7 Knitting needles
Scissors
Darning needle
Crochet Hook Size G (For picking up dropped stitches)
Row counter (optional)
Stitch markers (optional)

Abbreviations:
CO – Cast on
K – Knit
P – Purl
st(s) - stitches
BO - Bind off

Pattern:
CO 48 sts – I used the long tail cast on (See my tutorial)
Row 1 – K1, P1 across (this means to knit one stitch, purl the next stitch and repeat these two stitches to the end)
Row 2 – K1, P1 across
Row 3 – P1, K1 across
Row 4 – P1, K1 across
Row 5 – 63 Repeat rows 1-4 ending with row 3 (this means that you go back to Row 1 and do the same four over and over until you get to row 63 which is Row 3.

I have also included a chart, this chart is to help you understand how to read charts in knitting.
I have given instruction in the chart at the bottom. You work from the bottom to the top from right to left on the first row (and all odd rows) and left to right on the second rown (and on all even rows).
